This excursion continues with a visit at the largest museum in Turkey, the Archaeology and Mosaic Museum of Urfa. Within its various exhibition halls, there are more than 5000 items to observe. However, the most important one is the statue of the “Urfa Man”. Another important site to visit during this day, is the Pool of Abraham in Urfa. This impressive and beautiful structure includes archways, domes, a mosque, and a pool in the middle. According to the legend, this pool was the place where Nemrut’s daughter,Zeliha, jumped in the fire when Prophet Abraham was thrown. As you walk around, and listen to the guide’s interesting descriptions, feel free to feed the fishes that are in the pool.
